As part of Impact Sync’s mission to catalyze sustainable urban projects by leveraging partnerships, technology, and community engagement to create lasting positive change, we believe Africa’s future lies in the hands of its youth not just those with degrees or platforms, but the everyday innovators solving real problems in bold, unconventional ways. That’s why we’re excited to partner with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for the Young Africa Innovates Project (YAI) to discover and support 300 unique young changemakers across the Greater Accra Region.

YAI is a movement to spotlight unconventional young changemakers, including youth with disabilities who are quietly transforming their communities through innovation, creativity, and grassroots solutions, often without recognition or formal support
We are looking for young people who are:
Between the ages of 18 and 35 years and up to 40 years for persons with disabilities
Living and working in the Greater Accra Region
Solving real problems using creativity, technical skills, or entrepreneurship
Operating outside of traditional platforms or support systems
So whether you're a self-taught engineer, a street artist creating social change, or a young entrepreneur turning waste into energy, this is for you.
If selected, you’ll receive:
Training and capacity building from top minds in innovation
Mentorship and business development support
Connections to fellow innovators, investors, and institutions
A spot in the UNDP’s Young Africa Innovates network
If you are an innovator or know someone who is, we invite you to take part:
Apply Now: https://www.impact-sync.org/apply
Deadline for application: 19th July 2025
At Impact Sync, we believe this project is our way of finding and backing great minds hidden in plain sight.
Let’s find them. Let’s support them. Let’s build with them.
